I am a mum of two adult sons with autism and learning disabilities who opted out of commissioned services and have been managing my sons Direct Payments for 14 years.
I am passionate about harnessing community led support , choice & control and creative use of assistive technology.

I took that experience and became a freelance consultant for www.Selfdirectfutures.co.uk promoting what’s possible with DPs and ISFs Individual Service Funds (option 2).

I work nationally taking every opportunity to inspire other families with what’s possible… and encouraging LA teams to trust our judgment and work in partnership with families.

I designed and created www.247grid.com, a costed support planning tool software to manage my own sons budgets but it has taken off and am privileged to say 247grids are used in 16 LAs across England to support DPs and ISFs.
