Autistic Knowledge Development are running a number of training events for SDS Scotland members over the next 2 years. Their training is titled: ‘Supporting Autistic people to access SDS’ and aims to:
- Increase people’s awareness of what Autism is and how being autistic impacts people’s daily lives
- Explore the challenges that Autistic people face when trying to access the support that they need
- Consider how organisations can become more accessible to Autistic people in their area
- Explore ways in which organisations can support people to access support through SDS
This topic is an opportunity for people to:
- Share ideas and experience
- Consider how to apply learning from the training they’ve attended
- Request further information or support with any issues they might be facing
