Support in the Right Direction (SIRD) is a Scottish Government funded project in the Scottish Borders.
The SIRD project is under the umbrella of Encompass Borders. The project provides people with information about self-directed support and the options available to them for social care support.
You will work with people who are waiting for a social care assessment so that they are well informed and prepared for their assessment.
This is a part-time post. You will be based from home but will be required to travel to visit clients, attend meetings etc. (Covid permitting), so the use of a car is essential. This post is funded until March 2023 but there is a possibility it may continue beyond this date.
The hours are flexible but are likely to be 15 hours per week. Times of work must also be flexible to accommodate pre assessment referrals.
